In order to give the community the best chance possible to ensure appropriate development occurs at the RSL site, we have engaged an Urban Planner (Mr David Ryan) to help us respond to the DA and the WLB planning proposal for the Macpherson St neighbourhood centre. He prepared a comprehensive objection for our group which we submitted during the community feedback phase of the DA assessment. He also prepared a submission the Council planning proposal for our group.

The cost of the planning work has so far been over $7500. Now that the Department of Planning has backed the WLB request to have the planning controls changed at the RSL site, we are seeking further reports and advice from our planner. This will add to our ongoing costs. Should the developer appeal to the Land and Environment Court for any reason we will need to employ a lawyer to advice and represent us. This legal expertise will be costly.

Members of our committee and members of the community have donated to our cause via our bank account but we need more financial support. We cannot continue the fight on behalf of the whole community without it. Please make a donation today. Any amount, big or small, is most welcome.
